• Government of India has launched a World Bank assisted project SANKALP. It aims to strengthen institutional mechanism for skill development and increase access to quality and market-relevant training for youth across the country.
  • There are three major Indicators designed to measure the performance of States:
     Institutional Strengthening at the National and State Levels for Planning, Delivering, and Monitoring of Skill Development Programmes
     Improved Quality and Market Relevance of Skill Development Programmes
     Improved Access and Completion of Skill Training for Female Trainees and Other Disadvantaged Groups
  • The State of Sikkim is towards the end of implementation of SANKALP 1.0 and SANKALP 2.0 is under process.
